Description

The Megger DLRO-10HD Wind Kit is a specialized heavy-duty, low-resistance ohmmeter with extra-long test leads designed for maintenance and testing on wind turbines. It is a variant of the standard DLRO10HD, featuring a rugged construction and high and low power output options.

Key features
  • Extra-long test leads: A primary feature of the Wind Kit is the included test leads, which can be up to 100 meters long, allowing technicians to test grounding and bonding points on a wind turbine from the base.
  • Dual power supply: The ohmmeter can run on its rechargeable battery or be powered by the mains supply, even when the battery is completely flat. This ensures uninterrupted use in the field and on production lines.
  • Rugged and weatherproof: Housed in a heavy-duty case, the DLRO-10HD has an IP65 rating with the lid closed and an IP54 rating during battery-powered operation. This protects the unit from dust, moisture, and impact.
  • High and low power ranges: The device offers a low-power mode (<0.25 W) to prevent heating the test component and a high-power mode (up to 25 W) to identify weaknesses by heating the area under test.
  • Five test modes: A simple rotary switch allows for selecting from five modes: Normal, Auto, Automatic Unidirectional, Continuous, and Inductive. The Inductive mode is specifically optimized for testing inductive loads like motors and generators.
  • High input protection: It features a 600 V high input protection, safeguarding the instrument from damage caused by inadvertent connection to live voltage sources.
  • Clear display: The large, backlit LCD screen is easy to read in all lighting conditions.
